The NI PXI-6514 is an industrial digital I/O module with 64 channels. It features eight banks of isolated channels, offering 32 sourcing outputs and 32 sink/source inputs. This module is designed for reliable communication with industrial actuators and sensors.

Precautions
- Ensure that the output Vcc (user-provided) is greater than 10 VDC to guarantee the output voltage is within the +4.3 VDC to +6.3 VDC range. The power at the I/O connector is derived from this output Vcc.
- Each output port has a self-resetting fuse for overcurrent protection. The actual current trip value may be lower depending on the device’s operating temperature, which is affected by ambient temperature, airflow, I/O voltage, I/O usage, and duty cycle. Refer to NI KnowledgeBase document “Why does my 651x Shut Down When Outputting Over Maximum Current?” for more information.
- When using all output lines at a 100% duty cycle, the maximum drive current for the PXI-6514 is 75 mA. When using only one output line in each bank at a 100% duty cycle, the maximum drive current is 350 mA.
