The ES5101 EtherCAT Terminal is a dedicated interface for the direct connection of incremental encoders with differential signals (RS422) or TTL (single-ended) signals. It functions as a high-speed counter and position-tracking module within the EtherCAT I/O system.
This terminal processes quadrature signals ($A, B, C$) to determine position and rotation speed.
