The AGH420 is a coupling device designed for use with Bender ISOMETER® series devices, specifically the isoEV425, isoPV425, and isoCHA425HV. It enables these insulation monitoring devices to be connected to and monitor unearthed AC/DC systems (IT systems) with nominal voltages ranging from AC/DC 0-690V to DC 0-1000V. The coupling device ensures proper connection and extends the application range of the ISOMETER®.

Precautions
- Danger of Electric Shock: The AGH420 operates with voltages up to 1000 V. Ensure the system is de-energized before installation or working on connections. Follow safety regulations for working on electrical installations.
- Proper Combination: The AGH420 must always be used with the specific ISOMETER® series (isoxx425…) as intended by the manufacturer. AGH420 and AGH420-1 are not interchangeable.
- Hot Surfaces: If operated at mains voltages > 800 V, the enclosure temperature may exceed 60 °C. Avoid touching the device surface after switching on the power.
- Wiring: Use appropriate wiring and ensure correct connections as per the wiring diagram. For UL applications, use only 60/75°C copper wires and fuses rated over 5 A for supply voltage protection.
- Mains Internal Resistance: To ensure correct functioning with isoEV425, a mains internal resistance of ≤ 1 kΩ must exist between L1/+ and L2/- via the source or load.
- UL Compliance: If isoEV425 is used according to UL2231, the automatic self-test must be disabled, and a manual self-test must be performed.
